okay this will be me and my hubby 3rd time seeing each other next weekened..im so excited and im just hoping while im ther i get my NOA2 considering the fact while im there it will be our 5 month mark...fingers crossed for CSC! BY the way are there any novemeber 2011 filers?? i feel lonely lol

Pepper soup I don't do spicy well. Getting ready to plant this years garden. Joseph want to plant habenero peppers , he eats them raw.

Sweet Lord. My mum-in-law was killin me with that good food with pepe in it. I was like sweating and crying but it was sooooo good. Even the noodles with all the good veggies in it. Miss my veggie rice dish. Okay I need to get to the grocery store. You know I was there 6 months and never cooked one dish. So my husband has NEVER tasted my cooking.Thanks

Bring on the pepper for me I loves it and if it is not spicy then I will ask that they add more pepper it wouldnt be naija food if there was no spice. Africanfoodtv.com has easy to do receipes as well. I dont really have any receipes I can just tell you how to cook it I have been cooking naija food forever I cook my pepper soup with goat meat or cow tail not really a fan of fish pepper soup....You were there for six months and you no dey sabi cooking na wa o! I remember when I first started going there over 10yrs ago and they wouldnt let me cook I told them that no I must come in the kitchen to help so that I can cook for my husband when he joins me in yankee now....Next time you go I encourage you to stop visiting and join in....lol

I guess I wasn't demanding enough. I was feed my food on tray to my room for 6 months. I asked begged to cook even to go to market (no way that was to happen0. Everyone was so scared for my safety and there's with me there. Sometimes it was a bit unnerving. Couldn't even watch. I think because his mother really had no money and at times had to cook and like I would be the only one eating. She always prepared something special for me but they would have the usually egusi soup and garri or bread and water while I ate like a Queen. I didn't know all this unless I ventured out after I ate and saw. Plus her stove had short circuited a while back and blew up so she used the kerosene burners and I think she was afraid I would blow things up.

I will be going in a few months but now we have our own place in Lagos so we can now be a married couple for a while before he comes here to live.

I brought some american things in case I got ill so I would sometimes fix that and at times I would just eat rice. They used to laugh at my issues with pepper and made jokes about it being poison to me. I wouls normally be given some stew before they added the pepper. I was allowed out during the day and went to market and to the school the nephew attended. I loved my trips and even though I had issues with "bad boys" each trip it was worth it.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
