LOS ANGELES — An earthquake has struck California's northern coast, according to the US Geological Survey.

A magnitude-5.5 quake struck at 1:07 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, about 18 miles east of Trinidad in a rural, unincorporated area of Humboldt County, the Associated Press reported.

The trembling was widely felt and lasted 30 to 45 seconds, a dispatcher from the sheriff's office told the AP. The department did not have any immediate reports of injury or damage, but deputies are surveying the area, the AP reported.

That's just God's anger at all the liberal pinko commies in California. 5.5 is a warning. California needs to elect only Republicans to avoid disaster. Ask Pat Robertson.

It also happened six weeks ago. I think Eric needs to get rid of the soup cans and waxed string he uses to get his news.

That region gets some good thumpers on a regular basis, not being too far from the Cascasdia Subduction Zone.
