Change in Visa Fee for K-1 on April 13, 2012

My fiancee will be paying her K-1 visa fee prior to the 13th of April and so I am assumming she will have to pay the fee as it stands now at $350.00, even though her appointment will not be until after the 13th of April when the fees are being reduced to $240.00. Does anyone have information as to wheather they will want you to pay the reduced fee if your interview is not scheduled until after the 13th of April? I do not want to pay the wrong fee and then have a problem scheduling the interview due to improper fee payment. Any one able to advise???

Wow that is great news for us all!

Why not pay the fee at the interview and save some money? Does the consulate in Uganda require you to pay the fee before you book?

If you pay before April 13th = $350

If you pay on or after April 13th = $240

The fee at the Kenya embassy (where the interview will be) requires the fee to be paid before you can schedule an interview and the fee can only be paid in Kenya, so you must travel to Kenya if you live in another country in order to pay the fee.
