So the following day I did and after a nerve wrecking phone call the agent said he updated the changes but I will receive notice as whether or not uscis approved the changes. I told them they name I want to use the name on my Birth certificate so I'm guessing they have to make sure everything matches they have my birth certificate anyways. They also said I should know by may 1st and will notify me if they need anything else. So I'm looking at least a 2-3 week setback with a possible RFE. :-((((((( oh wells it's no ones fault but my own I guess. I'm still kicking myself I hope everything turns out okay

...I didn't realize this. Remember if you are a lady going for biometrics and have filed in your married name to bring your marriage certificate...I probably wouldn't have if I hasn't seen this. I will be bringing my passport, and my marriage certificate, and of course the notice.

Thanks for the heads up, would have done the same thing. No where in the notice does it say you need your marriage certificate. I figured since they already have THE one and only original copy of my marriage certificate (which btw costs 20 bucks each), they would have known I got married. These people sure don't make this stuff easy. I mean you'd think they would look at your case/records and find "Hmmm this person sent in her AOS with the following documents, Agh yes! it says her maiden name use to be XXXX and she now has a new last name which is proven in her marriage certificate she provided us in the original AOS application." But nooooo of course not, that would just make too much sense.

*sigh*

Thank God for this website.

I still don't have my biometrics.... I guess my file got forwarded to a center with lots of backlog. :crying:

I keep telling myself, 'If it wasn't for VJ and the timelines, I would think this wait is totally normal - and would probably be surprised if I got the letter 4 weeks out'. B-)

Knowing the estimates is not helping my patience.

Does anyone know if I have tell uscis if I'm moving address?

Yes, there is a special form you fill out for that, and I strongly urge you to follow up with them multiple times to make sure it has been changed everywhere. I've read a few horror stories here about cases being denied because USCIS didn't update everything properly and people missed their interviews due to not getting the notice.
