Wow! Shooli! You finally got an interview! I’m happy for you!!! I haven’t received anything yet :(. BUT I’ve come to realize that I shouldn’t compare my interview date to that of other people =‘(. USCIS works in mysterious ways ( that if known to the public would make waiting SO much easier). I think they should really inform the public A LOT MORE. Anyway, more waiting for me!!! Anyone else in the same situation?

Wow, and I thought LA was the slowest one...

Other people from Houston have already had their interview. Meanwhile, my file is still at the NBC which makes me think that my local field office has nothing to do with my long wait. Someone at the NBC has yet to go over my file and THEN transfer it to my local office for an appointment. God only knows why it’s taken so long to go over it.

Yes, I have. They’ve told me to wait.

You should schedule an infopass because you should, at least, have the EAD. Don't let the people on the phone mislead you.

I’ve already scheduled an infopass and all they said was to keep waiting. Apparently the process can take up to six months, so my case is still within normal processing time. And I didn’t apply for an EAD when I initially filed because, stupid me, I thought I’d have an interview within three or four months.

Yes indeed. I just joined the forum yesterday because I am thinking is anything wrong with my application? I filed on the 16th of April and received on the 18th. Ihad biometrics and RFE and responded to all. For over 2 months, the status has been on "Response to RFE review" at the NBC. I got my EAD on the 8th of July and thats it. I believe that I am on Day 119 today. I am thinking of calling today. What does anybody think about this?

I think there is a person on this forum that filed back in November of 2011, and has still not gotten their

GC.

I am seriously starting to wonder if early biometric walk-ins speed things up. Definitely agree that USCIS should be way more transparent with the processes. I wonder if FBI waits on biometrics before they do the background check? That's my reasoning for thinking early walk-ins speed things up. I think the application is in halt from when they sent the biometrics notice to when the background clears up.

Just thinking out loud here...

I wish you the best of luck and hope you get some good news soon!

P.S. I haven't found InfoPass that useful as well. Other than giving me a peace of mind, that I tried everything on my part (that's when I had change of address problems, anyway)

I'm 99% sure that whatever the FBI does takes less than 5 minutes. It's all in huge computer databases

and I don't see how it would take longer.

I sent my application in late April, did my biometrics 3 days after I got the notice in early May, well ahead of time, and jus got my interview

notice a few days ago. From my experience, it makes no difference.
