Hey guys,

remember how I told you that the DMV lady said they wouldn't need my ssn to issue a state ID for me? Well, that's wrong. They need your ssn. I applied for it today and it should arrive within 2 weeks. They said it should take less than that and if it does take 2 weeks, you should call and not wait. Also, they don't issue your state ID on the spot, you get that in the mail as well.

Good luck to all the mid-late April filers, I hope you guys get news soon!

2012

Apr. 4 - Filed AOS package
Apr. 6 - 4 NOAs

You bring a certified copy and then a photocopy of that as well. They look at the certified copy and make sure that your photocopy is identical to it and will then give it back to you and keep the photocopy for their records.

Congrats!

Chimcham: that's pretty cool. I'll tell them that when I go in two weeks ;)

About the copy of the birth certificate: They already have a translation and a copy of my certificate. It makes sense to bring the original so they can compare them, but how imperative is it that I get another translated copy? It's kinda hard, there are not many people who speak my language in my state. I don't know any.

sorry it's been a moment for us checking. we, the husband and i was going through some things. i think it's just nerves, but thanks to the Lord, everything is back on track. families were involved, but not in the positive light, and some friends were involved, also not in the positive light. so we had to have a long discussion with ourselves about what we are going to do next. i know i am getting a little weird-ed out about the whole ordeal. it's been so stressful. and having families and friends involved over something that was stupid and crazy with no control. i sought advice but people where telling me to leave him. but anyway, now we are okay. things are going well. families have made up, or so called friends had to be kicked to the curb cause i couldn't take it anymore. so hopefully with the added stress gone, hopefully we are looking to some lighter stress days.

sorry it's been a moment for us checking. we, the husband and i was going through some things. i think it's just nerves, but thanks to the Lord, everything is back on track. families were involved, but not in the positive light, and some friends were involved, also not in the positive light. so we had to have a long discussion with ourselves about what we are going to do next. i know i am getting a little weird-ed out about the whole ordeal. it's been so stressful. and having families and friends involved over something that was stupid and crazy with no control. i sought advice but people where telling me to leave him. but anyway, now we are okay. things are going well. families have made up, or so called friends had to be kicked to the curb cause i couldn't take it anymore. so hopefully with the added stress gone, hopefully we are looking to some lighter stress days.
