Yes, for some reason they never update the I-485 into Initial Review (even though that's where it's at because Acceptance ends 2-3 days after they receive it).

Hey guys,

It's been a month since they received my response to their request for evidence. My file hasn't been touched in a month. Most people at least get their EADs in the meantime, don't they? I'm playing with the thought of contacting a congress rep. I know it sounds laughable. But I feel like they must have lost my file somewhere! Like probably anyone who's been waiting for a while.

2012

Apr. 4 - Filed AOS package
Apr. 6 - 4 NOAs
Apr. 18 - Biometrics appointment notice for May 14.

Mine hasn't been updated for a month either. We are both inside the normal processing window at this time.

Contacting a member of Congress at this point will not get you anywhere.

From what I read in your signature, you applied for AOS 19 days after me and received your biometrics letter a month ago. I did have a rfe, but I've still waited quite a bit longer than you :( When is a good time to contact a representative? Two months? Six? Anyone with experience? Or am I asking in the wrong thread?

I don't think you're that far off of normal, based on the timelines I've seen. Your original biometrics appointment date was May 14th and it seems like most people get their interview notice 2-3 weeks after their bio date. I'd wait another week or two before panicking. Even then, I'd think you'd have better luck scheduling an infopass appointment than contacting a politician.

As I understand it you need to have 90 days of inactivity on your case (i.e. a LUD online of >90 days ago) before you can either make an Infopass inquiry or get your federal representatives involved.

RFEs further delay it because once an RFE is issued then all processing stops on your case until they receive your response to their RFE. In your situation that probably added an extra ~2 weeks to your case, judging from your timeline.

I'm hoping to get an interview notice in the next couple of weeks. On Trackitt's Concurrent I-130 / I-485 tracker there was one person AoS'ing through the Dallas office who was approved in 67 days (from the date of application to the date of interview; he was approved on the spot). I know every individual's circumstances are different, but I can hope, right?

I got nothing, Aimee.

I just read in another thread how this person went to an infopass after they had been telling her for months that her case is being processed and she'd been calling in every couple of days - only to find out that they had closed her case, because she abandoned it. So, basically, by mistake. She went for 2 biometrics and waited for more than 4 months. And she was getting wrong information all the time over the phone. At the same time, others say that they get wrong info at the infopass appointments. I'm just hoping I'm gonna get something soon and I won't have to deal with that. I know there are people in the March thread who haven't been updated since their biometrics. It blows, but I guess there's not much I can do.

Hey. No news here but I'm not even sixty days in so I'm not expecting much right now. My boss just called to find out if she can give me work for July but I have no updates for her regarding ead so don't know what to tell her when I call back. Guess it's a wait game for us.

Good news!

I'm still just in a holding pattern. I'm hoping my interview will be scheduled before my kids go back to school at the end of August so that I won't need to have them skip school on that day. I already had to do that when I was having my medical done.
