Hey all, what do you think the timeframe is to safely assume you're not going to get an RFE? I'm at day 25, I did my biometrics a week ago, and I know this is the long wait, but the RFEs are starting to invade my nightmares!

There isn't one. You can still get an RFE at your interview.

Background Information

-Dec 2006: Arrived with an F1 visa

-Dec 2007: Met USC.

-Dec 2009: Got Engaged.

-Jan 2010: Fell out of Status.

-Oct 2010: Married USC.

-Feb 2012: Filed I-130/AOS

I-130/AOS Timeline

Day 0: 02/25/12: Mailed concurrent I-130/AOS Package to the Chicago Lockbox

Day 2: 02/27/12: Package arrived at the Chicago Lockbox.

Day 5: 03/01/12: Email acceptance confirmation received for Forms: I-130, I-485 & I-765.

Day 13: 03/09/12: NOA1s received for Forms: I-130, I-485 & I-765. Biometrics letter also received and scheduled for March 27th.

Day 24: 03/20/12: Email notification for RFE.

Day 27: 03/23/12: Hardcopy RFE received in the mail.

Day 31: 03/27/12: Biometrics completed.

Day 40: 04/05/12: Mailed off the RFE.

Day 44: 04/09/12: RFE Delivered.

Day 46: 04/11/12: USCIS received RFE and case updated online.

Day 55: 04/20/12: EAD approved!

Day 60: 04/25/12: Received 2nd "EAD in Production" Email.

Hey ChrisPG, yeah I'm aware they can come at the interview, I'm just wondering for the interim processing of the EAD/AP card. In all honesty, I feel so out of the loop, I'm not waiting on an EAD for working, I'm still a student, but am frantically counting the days until I get my AP so I can go on my honeymoon!

Aimee, from what I have seen here on the boards, MOST RFE's get sent out in the 2-4 weeks after the biometrics appointment. They *can* RFE you as late as at the interview, but most of the time if you get your interview letter/EAD approval you are in the clear.

Its tough though. I will be breathing a huge sigh of relief when all of this is said and done.

Bummer... I can't check my status on the website. And I haven't received my appointment letter for biometrics yet. Trying to hold out one more week before calling.

can you not use your receipt number to check it ? ?

You sound like us... Just closed on our first home-- my law associates always joke that it took so long wih my income and I am sure rhere is a pool running for my denial date and which one of.them will clean up the mess lol

Congrats! Its all very exciting. I feel like life has been a whirlwind this year.

LOL too funny. However, the jokes do get old real quick! I had so many co-workers tease me about calling ICE on me. Not funny after awhile...I'm getting into the habit of not offering up that I'm not American when I meet someone lol

My lawyer received the 3 NOAs by email today and forwarded them onto me.

Just waiting on the paper copies which I am guessing will arrive sometime next week, then I can go and apply for a Texas ID card.
