Hello To All, what a great site this is and thanks to all that help us out! We are at the stage of going to pick up package #3 and package #4 next Wed for Fiance Visa. I understand that it is anywhere from 1 to 5 month wait until the Interview. In the meantime, need to complete Medical Examination and Police Certification as well as all the other documents etc. Any tips on the Interview? What else is there to do now? Medaase

my husband went to pick his 3n4 up he got his interview with those packets u have to wait for the letter to do ur medicals they expire 6 months so depending on urinterview date. The police report expires30 days

I understand that the date is give when you pick up the packages (3 & 4) but I was wondering how far out was the Interview from the day he picked up the package 4?

Be expecting from 4 to 5 months, picked my packets up this month on the 14th and have to wait until July for the interview which is almost 5 month so expect something around 5 months.

Are you an F-1 or a K-1--- every process is different.

If K-1 you will want to get your medicals about 2-3 months before interview so everything is ready, there are multiple visits involved if you want to get all of your vaccines done in Ghana. For the police request 1 month before, and you can pick up in 2 weeks.

Your medical is good for one year (if it expires before your AOS for K-1 you will need to redo it). Another reason not to do it tooo far in advance, For AOS you will only need to have your vaccine report transcribed in the US if the exam has not expired.

-Also a note on the vaccine you will get that is called tenonal it is the same as what the civil surgeon will look for a Tetanus/Td. They may not know this- so don't let them charge you for a new shot.

thanks for all replies. the interview is 4 months from the date of picking up packages. my fiance is now in process of going through medical - he has to go back each month for 4 months.
