CSC expedite question

Hey everyone,

we decided to make a request to expedite our case based on USCIS error. We sent a one page explanation, supported by proper documentation and put a red dot on the envelope and marked it clearly with "expedite request". However, we used conventional USPS certified mail and mailed it to the CSC's PO Box. It was delivered on March 19th (10 days ago), and we still have no answer. I've seen people here receiving expedite answers within 24 hours, so I start wondering if it is indeed the proper way. Should we mail it somewhere else, like to the direct street address?

We decided not to put a expedite service request via USCIS NCSC, because we feared it just might get rejected without requesting any documentation. As stated on the USCIS webpage:

You also have the options of 1). visiting your local office by scheduling an InfoPass appointment or 2). writing a letter to the local office or service center.

Hence, that's why we did what we did.

All comments welcome!

I already went to one infopass, which was pointless, since I-129F petitions are not being processed in local USCIS offices.

My check has been cashed, I got my NOA1.

In that case, next stop could be your Congressman/woman; they usually have info about how to contact them in their website and details of releases of info they need to have to inquiry on your behalf, etc.

At this point, knock at every door. Many here have in the past posted that contacting Congressman/woman makes no difference. Maybe, maybe not; but at worst you would be in the same place. For what is worth, when I was going thru the K-1 and hit 5 months and after getting next to nothing info at USCIS, I contacted mine. A few days after the initial contact, our K-1 gets approved. Maybe just coincidence of course, but if you make enough noise, someone might just decide to do something so you go away and that something is to get your petition approved; especially if the noise is going to show the egg in their face.

Good luck

Contacting CSC or their National Service Center is pointless. My wife called and requested first expedite for I-130 on 20 March 2012 on humanitarian grounds. We were told that they ask to fax the evidence to them but it never happened. On 22 March CSC-USCIS sent an e-mail stating that after carefully reviewing the expedite it was denied because it did not meet the guidelines.

On 24 March another expedite request was sent by calling them. The tier 2 officer told my wife that she will be asked for evidence and we were prepared with evidence. Once again it was never asked and request was denied with same reason. Only difference this time was that denial came by post.

I suppose they simply do not want to entertain any requests to begin with as they never gave any chance to send any evidence. Now nothing left except writing to DHS Ombudsman and maybe contacting Congressman.

Knock every door, catch at any straw. If it works consider yourself lucky and if it does not, it is worth a try because you are already drowning.

Well, sorry to tell you, BUT they do "entertain requests" because I requested an expedite on humanitarian grounds on April 6 and on the same day they e-mailed asking for the evidence.

I suggest you call into USCIS, get a Tier 2 Human, an ISO, and inquire with that Human (not the CSR that answers the telephone) IF the letter was received and/or opened, yet.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

that is the best advice as of now. csr will keep telling you to wait. that is what csr is all good for... i had called csr so many times and i have catch their pattern in not answering my questions at all.
