I got an email saying they are requesting RFE and I am just waiting on that letter! I am so paranoid. I did my 1-130 & 1-485 carefully...birth certificates, divorce decree, medical, tax return(only 2010 taxes because he hasn't filled 2011 yet)

My husband recently filled 2011 taxes and we are waiting on the transcripts from IRS.

What kind of information could they possible want!

****He is in the Army. Have they ever asked you for "Letter of employment"???*** All we have his is his Army contract.

He is in a different city for training(3 months)...I hope they don't ask for something that requires his authorization!

You have to see the actual RFE to find out exactly what further evidence they are requesting, hence the term RFE (Request for Evidence). Trying to second guess at this point is of little use, and will likely only cause you more anxiety.

Good luck on prompt reply to their RFE.

Your right, I have to wait for my RFE letter...should get it by Monday. After receiving that email notification, i had A LOT of anxiety the first two days...now, i am trying to relax and just wait.

I just pray I have enough time to give them what they need by the deadline

Have to agree with A&B, there is no use trying to guess at it. Take a deep breath and wait for the letter.

Thanks. I will take a deep breath and just wait...I need people to tell me this, especially by people that are going through the same thing

Does anyone one know the difference between "Initial evidence" and "Additional evidence"....mind is "Initial evidence"

I'm gonna say that initial evidence would be something that was required in the application. Additional evidence would indicate something they request to clarify or further prove some piece of information that you already provided.

Someone will certainly have more knowledge of this than I do but it sounds like there may have been something missing from the submission.

Request For Evidence (RFE) sent to us as well. Apparently, is happens a lot. Nothing to worry about. Just more work.

Can't do a thing until you read what they want. No worries.

I've scanned the notice under the "Gallery" tab, then "In America". 4 pages in all.

My fiance is in working in the Gulf of Mexico, due for a visit to Canada in a week. Then we can complete our 'evidence' and get it out.

(I've done what I can from here, without him).

Good luck & Happy Journey!

Best of luck. We had a RFE as well. Turns out, it was a 'false' RFE. I wouldn't stress too much until you actually have the email requesting the additional info (if any).

Fingers crossed ... :star:
