Hi everyone I am fairly new to this website? I know a lot of you have experience with the whole process but I need some help please guys.

Here is my situation I was married in 08/28/2011 my husband filed the I-130 petitionin January 2012 we got confirmation of the receipt but in January 2012 but we have no NOA or RFE as yet. My husband is a military officer and it is a high possibility that he is going to be deployed in august. Could we possibly expedite the application and If so can we get some guidance on how to submit the letters for such. Thanks so much guys I really do look forward to some advice on the subject.

My husband just called the military helpline at USCIS, and we got a decision in three days (granted it had already been six months...). They didn't ask him for further evidence, but from what I have read, they may do that. They seem to be very helpful so have your husband give them a call and see what they say. Good luck!

I-130 filed September 20th, 2011

NOA-2 March 20th, 2012

AOS fee shown as PAID April 18th, 2012

Mailed DS-3032 AGAIN April 20th, 2012 (no word on the previous one...)

My husband rang the USCIS military helpline and they were very helpful! They didnt ask for any evidence untill the NVC stage (which they got us through to in 3 days) and then we expedited there aswell, but they did ask for more evidence and we had to submit a formal letter etc. It was very easy though and we got through to the embassy stage within a month! Best of luck!

Sorry for the late response!

My husband and I also called the military helpline and they were VERY helpful!

I advise you to do the same, and they will tell you exactly what you have to do to in your situation.

Usually, if the US spouse is deploying, they will ask for their 'orders' and a copy of their military ID card.

Hope this helps! :)

What is the number for the military hotline? And, how long does it take to hear back, i heard 5 days but I have been waiting about 6 days now. I have called but they cant seem to give me much information.

I got some email from the people who run the application process not USCIS asking for me to fax some information to them. From there I faxed them the information and I got another email saying I have an RFE. Is it possible they found something missing when they looked at the file? And thus they are not going to move further till that RFE is sent in? will i know about the expedite request? How to find out this information. I hate being deployed for this process because I have to rely on internet only to be able to check a lot of stuff and they really are not helping at this point.

06JUN12 - Forms Received by the office

07JUN12 - NOA1 Received

08JUN12 - Peek

27JUN12 - Called office to check on acceptance I-797

05AUG12 - Called about information on expedited process

06AUG12 - Submitted form for expedited process

06AUG12 - Got a notification that they needed evidence

06AUG12 - Sent evidence to the fax number provided

07AUG12 - Got a notice that evidence has not been submitted yet

07AUG12 - Called office and was told to resubmit, did so to the same fax number

08AUG12 - Still no status on approval or denial of expedite process.

09AUG12 - Called office and they said wait 15 days before calling to find out about missing RFE in mail.

27AUG12 - NAO2 Received

30AUG12 - NVC Received Package

04SEP12 - NVC Gave us MNL and Case Number

10OCT12 - Singapore Clearance sent to Embassy

19OCT12 - Interview Date ( approved )
