Returned Passport

So, the "White Paper" given to my fiance and our acquaintance is an entirely different one.....

His has his name and case number on it and information about how to see online the status of his case and why he was DENIED, she also gave him another paper that explains how to get information on how to apply for the DV online.....

Ours just says he has to return the passport (WHEN THEY FINALLY DO CALL), for issuance of the visa. "Visa Processing" or AP/AR whatever they want to call it that day.....

Keep in mind their interviews were only 24 hours apart and had the SAME interviewer.....

So, I ask again has anyone had this situation? A returned passport along with an acceptance, and been called back to return by DHL?

How long did you wait for the call?

and if you have received your visa..... how long after mailing the passport did you wait until receiving your passport back?

I'm pretty sure they're just taking their time with the AP, but you weren't denied.

I am so happy for the "Approval", but wondering about her returning the passport, and if this has happened to anyone else. Also would like anyone that has gone through this to share with me their story.

Yeah it happened before .Unfortunately it means that he is under AP and its going to take long time .Thats why they did not want to keep his passport .I hope that they will call him soon to send his passport in .

So, its been 4 weeks. The longest 4 weeks of my life, and they said 6-8. I read on one persons' timeline that they received their visa in 10 days.... this made me very depressed. Why some are given in few days others wait weeks and months is a mystery?!?

TODAY we received a call from the embassy to send in his passport, they said he will receive his visa in 2 WEEKS!!!
