Although I have the option to screen with the "DCF" enabled when checking out the timeline stats, I never found out what it means. I believe it stands for direct consulate filing. Can anyone fill me in what it is and what can be accomplish and how by going through DCF? Thanks!

May 5 - Biometrics Appointment
June 19 – AOS Interview
June 21 - Card in production. AOS approved
July 2 - Received AOS/EAD (white card)
Aug 18 - Beach Wedding (formal ceremony)

Direct Consular Filing is when the USC petitioner files the I-130 petition for his/her wife/husband at the beneficiary's local embassy. For some embassies the USC petitioner must be living and working in the foreign country, for other embassies they just have to be present to file the petition (quick vacation).

I don't believe it is possible in the Philippines, or we would not see so many American/Philippine couples waiting months for their I-129s to be approved by USCIS!

Aug 22 - Touched

Oct 3 - Touched

Oct 4 - Touched again

Oct 5 - NOA2..Yeah!!

Holy Manila.... that was a fast approval!

I could only hope for that!

03/03/06 - First met in Manila

05/23/06 - "First" visit for 1 week

07/02/06 - Second visit for 1 week

09/01/06 - Third visit for 1 week, engaged

09/22/06 - FedEx I-129F packet copy to CSC

09/25/06 - Received at CSC by N. Tan

09/27/06 - NOA 1 mailed

10/01/06 - Touched

10/04/06 - Received NOA 1
