Hello am new on this site and I've been reading since 10 am and its now 3:56 pm.

I have many questions that somehow have been unanswered by my Mothers attorney.

My case is as follows, My Mother, brother and myself migrated to the US back in 1993 all legally, we were able to file for a security number not valid for employment both my brother and I went to middle and high school and both graduated. Before I moved back to Mexico in 2002 I became a Mom myself since I wanted to study college and didn't have a green card we decided it was best for me to move back and study.

I now have a bachelors a degree and my daughter is in 4th grade, she is an American citizen and so is my mother now she filed a I-130 petition in 2007 and in 2009 we received a letter from the NVC that informed us that there were not visas available so we had to wait.

The question is that we want to spend the Summer in Houston but I do not know if a B-2 visa will be granted to me due to my pending case, is it possible? or will it alter the outcome of my I-130 visa? Help!!

Once you have intention to immigrate (pending I-130) your chance to obtain a tourist visa is super slim. You can try, it won't hurt.
