Hey everyone,

I have a question about question #36 on form DS-156. It asks if my fiancee had anyone file a visa petition on her behalf before.

Does she mark "yes" because I am currently filing a petition for her, or is this question referring to petitions other than mine?

I appreciate any help.

If no one, but you (just now) has ever filed a petition for her; then you should select No

I was confused with this one too and, to be honest, I still don't know if I put yes or no.... Guess I'll find out tomorrow at the interview headbonk.gif

Hi let me clarify this for you. The answer to that question is "NO" if: this is the first time(the one you are filing) a visa is filed on her behalf. In other words, if you or no one else applied for a visa on her behalf before this, then answer NO.
