Hello Everyone and Good Luck to all of us on our Visa Journey !! My question is this ...My fiance is living in Iloilo CIty and she said she is told that she have to get Barangay Police Clearance Before she can get an NBI CLearance ... Is this a New Rule or is someone just wanting her money ? Thanks ... Terry

Hi you Dont need police clearance or barangay clearance to get an NBI clearance..... All she needs to do is go to NBI then fill up the form pay the fee and have biomatrix and get the NBI clarance and she done if she dont have a HIT she can have it the same day but if have a name HIT she have to go back in 2weeks.... Just got mine 2 weeks ago hope this help

September 2007: Met online via social networking site (MySpace); began exchanging messages.
March 26, 2009: We become a couple!
September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!
June 21, 2010: Engaged!!!
September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Just any valid id's required,then filled it up a forms then pay more or less 115 then have a finger printing,then pics then wait for an hr or less than hr it depends of the applicants..just got mine here too...

March 13,2012 = I-129F Mailed to Dallas,texas

March 15,2012 = received email from USCIS,that they got the packet

March 20,2012 = received email from USCIS for our NOA1,and they routed to VSC

June 28, 2012 = touch

October 03,2012 = F received RFE via text

OK ...thanks to everyone for your replys . I just now called Chona about this and she still says it is the requirement for getting the NBI Clearance . I guess it does not matter now because she is suppose to already have that Barangay Police Clearance ....just a waste of money in my opinion !! Thanks ....Terry

I understand her,I had given the same instruction from barangay/police staff that I need police/barangay clearance.but the truth is I can bring my expired nbi clearance to just renew it,if she don't have an expired nbi then she just provide Id go to nbi fill out the forms,pay & be done with it.hope her name doesn't appear any HIT!!because it it does it will time to obtain Nbi.

Thanks " masipag " for information ! I am talking to her now on Messenger and she says she have old NBI Clearance so she will be getting that renewed .....Thanks ............Terry

Hi I am your fiance, I never told you I need Barangay Clearance to get NBI, NBI is diff from POLICE clearance, right?, Thank you for the effort but you know I knew what I am going to do, thanks guys for the advice. Getting NBI is easy, just bring your old for renew. Getting Police you need to have Baranggay Clearance and Court Clerance to have it, that is the truth if you not sure about my word YOU CAN CALL POLICE DEPARTMENT ILOILO CITY. thanks

Requirements of the following Documents:

NBI - old NBI Clearance

Police Cleacance - Barangay and Courth Clearance

Barangay Clearance - Comelic voters registration, or must registered voters within barangay.

Yes that is a problem because you much talk many females from Philippines, and never believe someone like me.
