His appearance then is even more remarkable in that no bandages were visible! Also no apparent swelling or bruising around the face! (These tend to increase in the few hours after the type of assault GZ alleges he was under)

The autopsy of Martin didn't show any trauma either, other than a gunshot wound. And no trauma can be seen on Zimmerman in this video, or blood stains, or grass stains on his cloths. You do see he asked the one cop to look at the back of his head, examine him, and shake his head, like he didn't notice anything. Any first-aid he would have received would have been at the scene, since the police and the EM staff refused to take him for medical treatment prior to this video.

Just speculating here but it sounds like GZ confronted TM, might have received a punch that connected with his nose and was knocked on his a$$. Without getting any more substantial injury he decided it was time for his version of ultimate justice. THIS perp was NOT going to get away with his 'crimes'!

Nose bleeds can result from direct trauma, obviously. Even slight traumas can cause them. They can also result from a transient spike in blood pressure! That is also a reasonable possibility here. Falling to the ground, whether the result of a blow or just tripping over one's feet can result in blood on the back of one's head and grass on their clothing! This report proves very little about what happened!
