It takes time, 60 months isn't true. It wouldn't take 5 years to go through. Mine went to CSC in late December/early January so April will be the 4th month mark.

Apparently, a lot of people transferred to CSC see their cases approved without interview....

I've had my EAD since mid January, so it won't take long for your EAD or AP to be approved. Once you have your EAD, you can live with a little more normality though.

03/01/2011 - NOA2 on the day Dawn returned to NY after spending Christmas with me

10/02/2011 - I visited NY for 3 weeks (let this hold up the K1 process)

28/02/2011 - Medical

29/03/2011 - K1 Interview at London Embassy - Visa granted!

01/04/2011 - Visa in hand

03/05/2011 - POE in JFK - can't wait!

04/06/2011 - Our Wedding Day :)

My case got transferred to CSC and I've read online that it takes like 60 months to get approved! That's crazy! Is this really true? What should I do?

02/19/2009 - biometrics done - in a out in 45 minutes
03/14/2009 - Receive NOA2 dated 03/10/2009. AOS interview April 29, 2009
03/18/2009 - Touched. EAD Card production ordered
03/25/2009 - Touched. EAD approval sent
03/27/2009 - EAD card received in the mail; applied for SS# immediately (office is across the street from my home)

No way - that's an extreme amount of time. 6 Months maybe but not 60!!

Married: 6/17/11

I-130 Sent: 7/9/11

NOA1 : 7/14/11

I-129F Sent: 7/21/11

NVC Received: 8/24/11

NVC Left: 8/26/11

Consulate Received: 9/5/11

Changed to CR1: 12/16/11

Medical Re-Done: 1/5/12

Waiting for Issuance of Visa.........

Not sure why people are not reading things lately seems to be a huge issue.

If you go to the CSC processing times page it only lists EMPLOYMENT I-485 status on their website not family based.

Yes and, unfortunately, once something like that is posted it causes panic. OP - it doesn't take 60 months, but does vary greatly from a couple of months to a lot longer. The best way for you to get an idea of how long it'll take is look at the immigration timelines on VJ for AOS (http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aoslist.php?cfl=$cfl&op5=5,6,8,9,10,11) and choose 'yes' for the 'Transferred cases only' drop-down option.

you shouldnt believe everything you read on online lol. CSC is usually a good thing for AOS.

good news though... i will be just up the road from you in Danielsville on April 3rd :D lol
