K1 & K2 AOS Interview Tomorrow

Well, we want to thank everyone for their support. We have our interview tomorrow at 2 CDT, and are nervious thinking of everything that can go wrong: the rescheduling nightmare we had, the brown packet, the ominous warning "your interview will be video taped." That and the latest reviews of Dallas don't seem to be too friendly.

That said we're hoping to be positive as we have about 200 photos from our entry to wedding and reception, to our vacation last week in Abilene. We couldn't make our bank a joint account, they said due to state or federal law, but have joint health insurance, renter's insurance, bills at the address and few with the same name, share the same credit card, both of our names on the lease, Christmas cards addressed to the both of us.

So we'll hope for the best, and if you're of the religious type, we'll take your prayers. We'll let you know how it went in the evening. Thanks for everyone's help.

Thanks and everything went well. The officer was very nice and very comfortable. We'll write more about it later in the review, but most of the questions were for me. They asked my wife, "What's your full name, your father's name, your mother's name, where were you born and when?" They asked e when we met, how long we dated and how long married, when we got married, the birthdate and full name of my daughter (k2), where I work and what I do (I think this was more just curiosity), and how I learned Spanish and what other languages I know.

About the other things, and advice for others:

- They did mention our reschedule prior interview, and I had to clarify that.

- They did mention that they were going to give an RFE because it lacked 2011's information. So, I'm glad I had my W2s and even though it doesn't seem to be the norm, I'd bring this years tax information for other people.

-I asked them about the I-864 and they did mention their office did prefer two I-864 if you're using a K2 at the same time.

- The medical did come up and I simply mentioned what Vanessa and Tony said in that it was with my Brown A- File.

- Finally, she explained how to do ROC and also talked a bit about the citizenship exam. And we left saying we should see our cards in two weeks. After, everything that happened we're still joking maybe we'll see a last inute RFE, but it looks good, so thanks everyone for the help! We're excited!

P.S. One last thing, originally we were supposed to go with another individual, but he had his schedule mixed up. Bad news, we had to wait two hours (try calming a three year old down for three years old). Good news, the other two individuals we saw with him were seperated a la stokes and left with unhappy faces and that is nto an experience these two stressed love birds needed. So, there is such a thing as a blessing in disguise.

Very happy to read a positive review :) What did she say when you mentioned your A-file?

She just said, "Okay, if that's what they said, that's fine."

I think it also helped that we were the last interview of the day.

Just also got USCIS notice that they ordered the green cards so we're riding sky high.
