Hi, i am a USC and my wife is F1 student from UK. I didn't meet the US Poverty Guildline Level, a friend is willing to co-sponsor my wife. But the co-sponsor is separated with his wife and his wife filed child support against him. i don't know how bad the court is, but my Question is, will this affect us, when he co-sponsor my wife? wouldn't it make an impression to the uscis that he might not fulfill his obligations in co-sponsoring my wife, since he has a child support on his records?

As long as he meets the poverty requirement, you are fine. The child support obligation will not affect the case for your wife.

And also... looking at the co-sponsor's tax return form 1040, his income is under Income # 12: "Business income or (loss) Attach Schedule C or C-EZ" shouldn't he check on Form i864 - Part 6 # 22b. Self-employed, instead of 22a? He also have in his Federal Tax Return Form: 2210, Schedule C, Schedule SE, Schedule M. Does this ring a bell to anyone in here, as in if he is self employed or employed. He said he is employed, but i really think he is self-employed. Please help me, i wanna make sure everything is right with my paperworks before sending them.

And finally, on his Tax Return: SCHEDULE C (1040) Profit or Loss From Business" Should he enter his Gross Receipts or Sales as in yearly income on form 864 or should he enter his Net profit or(loss)

Please advice or help me answer this, because its is too complicated for me.
