Is it too early to call USCIS to inquire about our case? It has been 3 weeks since our interview and nothing. I know the online system is unreliable, but our case had not been touched since the day of our NOA1. I am concerned that it might be lost on someone's desk. Most people have an answer within a week. What does everyone think?

3 weeks isn't that long. But there is no harm in calling and inquring about it. I can tell you the answer from the other end right now. "You'll hear from us. If you don't hear from us within 60 days, you may call again"...:) be patient. You'll hear from them soon.

I WOULD GIVE IT A COUPLE MORE DAYS. IF YOU DON'T HEAR FROM THEM IN 2 OR 3 DAYS, THEN CALL THEM. THEY MIGHT BE BEHIND ON THE INTERVIEWS AND THAT WOULD DELAY EVERYTHING. I WOULD NOT WORRY ABOUT IT.

Something else occurred to me last night. We filed our papers shortly after the 90 day window opened. We were called for an interview less than 2 months later. I am wondering if there is some rule that says you have to be an LPR with conditions for 2 years before you can receive your 10 year green card. Is that a possibility? If so, maybe they are delaying approving our case until the 2 years have passed which would mean another 2 weeks of waiting for an answer. Anyone know if that is the policy? We were honestly shocked to receive an interview letter at all since we had an AOS interview and even more surprised to hear from USCIS so soon after filing. Thanks for the advice.

It could be the reason you stated... but since you got to this point so quickly while many others are at 8, 9, 10 months I would just wait for two weeks and then call. The difference between three weeks and five after an interview is a lot, and would most likely push them to actually do something about it.
