Our K-1 visa was approved, however she had tried to come visit me before and was red flagged once. Will this cause any problems when she is passing through security with her K-1 approval packet? Also after going through is there a secondary section she will have to go to, if so will I be able to go there with her? or will I have to wait?

She was denied entry once.

I think we answered your fiancée yesterday. It depends on what grounds she was denied. If it's lack of sufficient ties to her home country prior/during the K1 process, then no, it won't affect anything (not even her AOS) unless she lied to CBP or USCIS.

Everyone has to go to secondary to activate their K1. She will get photographed and fingerprinted. I believe you have to wait aside.

I know this is posted in the Canada forum but just in case someone else reads this... Everyone does NOT go to secondary to activate the K1. I stood in line at the USC/Permanent resident line at the airport (as I was told to) and the dude who processed everyone else in front of me processed me as well. He took my prints and photo just like when i entered on the VWP (except the visitor line then). The only difference is I got my K1 visa scribbled on, a K1 stamp and he wrote my A number on the I-94.

I am surprised. Pretty sure they validated all visas in secondary. Good thing some get to skip it!

I thought that too as they took finger prints and stuff at the Peace Bridge when I crossed...

Same here. But they can't really fingerprint you from the car, they can at the desk at the airport if they really want to. Imagine the long line of cars if they processed visas at the booth? Its already brutal some days!

Op- you didn't say if you were driving of flying. If you're driving across, you can both go into secondary processing together. The CBP even gave my husband a passport stamp to "mark the occasion" kinda cute!

I just assumed everyone went into secondary because of the fingerprinting. We went in together. When crossing at the Peace Bridge, DO NOT look out the windows...they will yell at you in fear of damaging their already damaged blinds...my poor husband lol!

My then fiance was also allowed to come into secondary with me and was even asked some questions by the officer so it may depend on the officer involved. For the most cases I have read, both members of the couple are allowed to go in together. It has been hit or miss for other family members accompanying them. Some have been allowed to wait inside secondary and some have been told to wait outside in their vehicles.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I was red flagged twice if you want to call it that..bascially they turned me around for not having suffience proof of ties. It wont cause any issues..somwhere in the paperwork they will ask that question though and you will have to answer it honestly. As forgoing through POE you have to go through secondary to be photographed and fingerprinted. You can go with her, my then fiance from Chicago came with me.
