University of Colorado must follow constitution

On Monday the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that the ban on carry of concealed weapons on the campus of the University of Colorado violates the state's constitution.

After the Columbine massacre, the legislature of Colorado implemented "shall issue" concealed carry legislation, as has nearly every state. U of C banned the carry of firearms on the campus following this. They have subsequently experienced an increase in crime while Colorado State University,which allows handguns to be carried concealed y faculty or students, has experienced a decrease in crime.

The Colorado Supreme Court joins a growing list of court decisions supporting the civil rights of Americans to be able to defend themselves.

Colrado is also one of 11 states considering allowing ANY person over 18 to carry concealed handguns without a concealed carry permit. Colorado would join Vermont, Alaska, Arizona, Wyoming and South Dakota in doing this.

Supporters of stripping Americans of their rights are nor expected to appeal the ruling as they have been losing everything the challenge and such a loss at a higher court couldonly mean the increased access of rights for more Americans. Something they simply will not promote
