I just received a text "production of new card ordered"! Can someone please update mine. Thank you in advance. Good luck everyone!

I am happy to inform you all that my I-751 was approved on the 8th of January 2012 (I received a message in my cell phone and an email from USCIS) and today (10th of January 2012) I received another message similarly saying that my card has been mailed.

I request one of you to please update my information. My name is Vignesh, I applied at the Vermont Center.

Congrats to all new approvals! I got an RFE today (I'll update the chart). I'm frustrated, because I sent in A LOT of varied evidence, except joint credit and checking accounts, because we do keep these separately. This is the choice we've made, because it allows us to best keep track of our expenses and be financially responsible. Clearly, USCIS has a different opinion on how adults should handle their finances. We have joint savings, joint insurance, and are each other's beneficiaries in many settings, but will not join checking and credit accounts just because USCIS thinks you can't be a "properly" married couple otherwise.

It took VSC 9 months to look at my ROC application, and N-400 is another 7-8 months in my area. I just wish they could better distribute their resources given how much money we pay for these applications.

So the RFE asked for joint bank account info? well if you don't have it you can't submit it. You can't just make a joint account to appease them.

Can you post your RFE? or at least what it asks for?

**Edit - out of interest, tony and I have all our accounts joint (except my credit card) but one is "his" and one is "mine". Having my name on it makes it easier on us if I need to call to get a balance for some reason. It doesn't mean i spend his money (I never do without his permission first - like for a bill) and he doesn't spend mine, in fact he hates it and didn't even activate his new card when it arrived (which was funny when i didn't have mine and I wanted to borrow his (to my account). He did have to use his card to "my" account once because I had more money to buy what he wanted, so it's been good for us that way too.

It sounds like you've worked out a really smart solution! We used to have one joint checking account, very rarely used, and I submitted two statements from it. The RFE called out these two statements, saying: "The following should be reviewed: joint checking account statements with transactions from [date1] to [date2] and from [date3] to [date4] but do not cover the period of your marriage, and copies of joint insurance cards without evidence of policy statements."

I found the latter odd because for AOS, I sent in just insurance card copies without "evidence of policy statements," and apparently there was no issue with that back in 2010.

The RFE continues with the standard text that evidence does not establish in sufficient detail joint ownership of assets, joint responsibility for liabilities, and/or active commingling of finances for the duration of the marriage. The last part lists types of documents they consider evidence of good faith marriage; I suspect this is standard text in all RFEs, since it also lists everything I already submitted.

I guess I'll resubmit everything I already sent and more, somehow :-) We'll have to have a brainstorming session this weekend.

First of all I sincerely thank each and everyone in this forum for all your support and guidance. I have not been active in this forum for the last 4 months.

I am happy to inform you all that my I-751 was approved on the 8th of January 2012 (I received a message in my cell phone and an email from USCIS) and today (10th of January 2012) I received another message similarly saying that my card has been mailed.

I request one of you to please update my information. My name is Vignesh, I applied at the Vermont Center.

But I could not see a USPS tracking number though. Please let me know how to find it,

Congrats to everyone approved and good luck for those waiting.

You should get another notification tomorrow and ask you to check your status on USCIS.gov. The tracking number will be available by then.

I Just got a text "your case xxx is now updated" and an email "On January 10, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

Almost 9 months, finally heard something from VSC...

My new card arrived yesterday, after

an email on the 7th saying it was ordered.

Feel free to add me to tally - not so long

in from work and I'm tired but happy we're

finished with this stage.

I see that u got ur conditions removed and i had couple of questionS. I sent in my RFE about the same time as u dec20 but have not heard anything.

1. Was ur Rfe specific or did the require all evidence?

2. Did u get a letter mail about approval or email?

I-751 Sent = The Date you sent your application

NOA Date = The Receipt Date on your original NOA letter

Biometrics = The Date of your biometrics appointment

Approved = The Date your case was approved which is the date on your approval letter

GC Received = The Date you get your card in the mail, NOT the date on the letter

* Please Capitalize your VJ Name when adding it to the list.
