Updating my dates. I adjusted the approved date back to what was on the approval letter. And got my GC today! wow.gif That was pretty quick!

I just want to understand a lil bit more about ur case since I'm afraid I will fall into RFE soon. RFE means request for evidence? Would you please give us more details that what other evidences do they need from you guys, and the time frame to submit those documents before they make final decision? Did you guys get an appointment for 2nd interview or just RFE?

Yes RFE means "request for evidence". What the RFE is for changes from person to person. I could be medical, it could be about evidence of relationship, it could be a form missing a signature.. lots of things.

You typically have 86 days to respond to an RFE.

You can get your GC approved without an interview, and the "RFE" is not for another interview, ever. That would be a 2nd appointment notice.

My card was approved! Got a text a minute ago and checked USCIS website! On October 12, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you.

Hello VJ memebers/April Filers,

Maybe I can get help from here. Anyway, I submitted my I-751 on March 30, 2012, NOA1 April 04, 2012, Biometrics May 14, 2012. Im a little worried right now right after I read a post here on VJ about change of address. Here's the situation, couple months ago hubby and I moved in to a different city, a month later I submitted AR-11 to change our address (no I-865), I even talked to a USCIS agent (September 19, 2012)about the confirmation of the address, then on September 21, 2012 I got a letter on the mail stating that ("Recently, you called us to update your address. We have updated your address in our systems and on your applicantion or petition.") Should I get worry that I didnt submit I-865? Should I submit I-865 asap? or Should I wait till I hear from them if they needed more information? it has been 5 months tomorrow since my Biometrics.

Any information I would appreciate. Thank you

Sometimes. The system isn't always reliable. i haven't received any updates (no approval or card in the mail yet) but other people have. Some people get their card in the mail, or RFE's without any notification online.

The sponsor needs to update their address asap. It won't affect ROC, but it's a legal requirement that he keep that current.

hello ken-y-leidys,

I just want to understand a lil bit more about ur case since I'm afraid I will fall into RFE soon. RFE means request for evidence? Would you please give us more details that what other evidences do they need from you guys, and the time frame to submit those documents before they make final decision? Did you guys get an appointment for 2nd interview or just RFE?

My wife and I received an I-797E, Notice of Action allowing up until December 31, 2012 for me to 'submit ALL evidence requested at one time' or the application will be "denied." The second page is titled, "REQUEST FOR EVIDENCE." A related thread appears at this VisaJourney link.

The major headings under, "Evidence of Good Faith Marriage" are; Birth Certificate (of offspring), Residence, and Financial Records. These items need to span the last two years, and obtaining additional proof won't be difficult in the least. It just looks like more work, making more photo copies, and more personal expense on my end. :bonk:
