So just because I was bored I thought I would come and report:

CSC Filers - The February filers group are starting to show approval this month without interview (making it roughly 5 1/2 months for approval) which should make approval sometime in September or October depending on your filing date.

VSC Filers - October 2011 filers are starting to show approval this month (making it roughly 9 months for approval), none in November or anything forward so it looks like approval without interview for VSC should occur around January 2013.

Waiting sucks but remember you ARE legal during this time. You are permitted to work and travel but remember you must update your employer with your receipt showing your extension, and if travelling you must take the ORIGINAL NOA1 with you together with your expired greencard.

Also remember that if you are still waiting by your naturalisation window, and want to file for N-400 that you can file for N-400 with your ROC still pending and it should push your approval through for ROC to process the N-400.

My Wife was nervous about traveling, but took her green card and NOA-1. The CBP Officer asked for her green card and didn't want to bother with the NOA-1 as it would hold up the pedestrian line in San Ysidro, CA. We take all forms with us regardless, because you never know...

My wife got her conditional Green Card on 5/5/10 and then we applied for her ROC in April 2012. How do I know when she is eligible to apply for Citizenship?

I did read this and I'm still confused. Is she eligible to apply for Citizenship 90 days before the 3 year date on her conditional Green Card or after she receives her permanent green card?

For instance on my conditional card, it says I became a resident on April 20, 2010...so that means I can apply for citizenship starting January 20, 2013, which is 90 days from my 3 year anniversary of being a conditional resident.

An easy way to calculate if someone is eligible for citizenship is to count 3 years from the date the person became a resident, and then subtract 90 days. Remember though this is only for spouses/ and children of US citizens.

She is eligible after 3 years of being an LPR, minus 90 days. BOTH are "permanent" resident cards. One is simply a 2 year card (conditional based on marriage) that required ROC, and the other is a 10 year card.

Conditional or non-conditional it's 3 years from the "resident since" date on the greencard if still married to the USC. 5 years if divorced.

Hi Everyone,

We have a big problem. We just moved in our new home but it seems that our new address is screwed up even we updated it for bank accounts, credit cards,...and did a address change at USPS almost 3 weeks ago, we don't receive mail from our previous address but worse, the places where we updated our address sent our mail with the wrong address. We live on 102nd Street but we receive mail with 102nd Place on it.

There is no house built on 102nd Pl. yet.

Even we called the different companies, it seems that in their system, they can't get it corrected!!! I even tried to update it online on my account where I order my horse supplements, I can't write Street...their system won't take it.

We did our address change at USCIS. When I went for my Bio, the person put my new address in the computer and it took it. He said if I would not had done it online, the computer would not have taken the new address. I was feeling safe but today we still got mail with the wrong address on it from someone that we called and asked them to correct it. They said it's done but still wrong address.

We even talked to the manager at the post office Monday and he called us back yesterday. He said, he took care of the problem. He also said that the persons who deliver the mail were still thinking that we were living on 102nd Place???

I am a bit worried that if USCIS sent me something I would not get it! I am so glad that I got my Bio letter 2 days before moving!!!

If anyone has suggestions or has experience same kind of problem please let me know what I should do. I really don't know what to do to fix this issue. It's like our street doesn't exist!

Hi I called USCIS. The person said I should receive in 30 days a confirmation of my address change. If not call them back. She said she could not see my address in her system... :bonk: She was not really helpful!

Oh my, I hope this doesn't happen to us as we're planning to get a new home by October - November and based on the timelines for CSC my application's approval (if everything goes well) is estimated to arrive at about that same time frame.

Did you file your change of address online on the USCIS website? Did you submit the AR-11 form and completed the 2nd step (I think it was supposed to be a 2-step process for my case of pending ROC)? As far as I know this should be done 10 days after you moved into the new address. You mentioned that you had someone change it during your biometrics (not sure if I understood your post correctly) -- I'm pretty #######, so if I hadn't already done so before I had the biometrics I would've gone online too and also did the necessary steps to complete the change of address as mandated by the instructions in the USCIS website, just to be sure.

It sounds like you have multiple cases where you address mismatched. Since you called USCIS and they said they've changed it and would take 30 days to be in the system you can follow up after 30 days. Make sure you have the confirmation # or something from that call. I would think at this point trying to do an online change of address would mess things up more because it could end up being a "duplicate request" (because you already called and placed a request for it -- if you get what I mean).

As for USPS did you try correcting your address online (usps.com)? I had done a change of address when I switched apartments and it was painless for me. The USPS online form requires you to specify the date when they'll start forwarding the mails to the new address.

As for your horse supplement website it's kind of odd for a website to not accept the word "Street" (must be the way they built their website). Have you tried other variations -- say "St"?

Bottomline, I'd backtrack at USPS and USCIS mainly to resolve the issue. It would probably help at least if you signed up for email/text alerts for your USCIS application so in case the address problem isn't resolved yet you'd at least know if it was approved or RFE or if card was mailed out. At least you can pester them even more at that point before it falls through the cracks.
