What makes you believe that? Even after you have done your bio, your case won't be in anybody's hands for months. People still wait for MONTHS after bio and I have yet to see any evidence that what you say is correct. Biometrics seem to be just kept electronically on file and separate from file processing and evaluation at service centers.

Approval time depends on the officer and NOTHING ELSE. :D Bio moves the case into the officer hands.

It's really difficult to argue with someone when their statements are based solely on their own beliefs and gossip. Neither proven facts nor common sense would convince them.

So, let them believe in whatever they want to believe in. No harm to humanity, just another piece of misinformation on this board.

I'm not going to argue with you guys. I shared the info that was given by IOs on other forums.

Tygrys, I can say the same about you: "your statements are based solely on your own beliefs and gossip". If we are discussing something, no need to be disrespectful. Now I understand why people leave this forum: because of such people as you are.

AOS from B1/B2:

January 12 - I-130 & I-485 Delivered

January 24 - Both checks cashed

January 26 - Both NoAs received

February 9 - Biometrics letter received

February 17 - Biometrics appointment

January 18 - Green Card Ordered (No Interview)

January 22 - Green Card Mailed

No, my statements are based on timelines available to everyone on this forum to see. What's your source for an assumption that anyone is leaving the forum and even if so, how do you know what's their reason for leaving? Besides, this is public forum and everyone can write whatever they want if it doesn't violate ToS. This is called "freedom of speech", just in case you haven't heard of it. And if you don't like it, that's just too bad for you.

BACK TO THE TOPIC:

There are possibly only 2 cases where early bio can in fact speed up the process a little:

1. EAD, where (in most cases) bio triggers the issuance of the card

2. Naturalization, where bio triggers placement in line for the interview.

Both above cases DO NOT require further adjudication at the Service Center at the time of bio, but applications requiring waiting period for adjudication (like I-751) don't fit into this scenario.

Hi, sorry to waltz in on your thread but I thought I'd give my 2 cents. My bio took about 90 days to occur after my NOA1, I was approved at the same time as everyone else. Bio date makes no difference to when you are approved. Hope this helps. :)

I am a May CSC filer and my situation is looking likely to mirror yours. I have never actually been able to get through to any human being when calling USCIS leave alone understand the distinction between tier 1 and 2 officers. Can someone give me a quick primer on what number to call and how to request officer levels, etc to talk to? And is it true that there is pretty much no point in calling about anything with regard to your case unless 30 days have passed since NOA date? Thanks a lot.

So I called USCIS about my biometrics letter, and the person I talked to said she could not verify whether my appointment had been sent or not, but since over 30 days had passed they would file a request to send a new appointment letter which I should receive within 15 days. Being tier 1 she said she couldn't check the actual status of my biometrics, so I asked if I could be transferred to someone who can, but she replied there was no need because in either case they will just send me a letter now :crying:

But at least I have a service request number now, and they said to call back in 15 days if I don't get another letter... I was expecting them to say to wait 60 days before calling again

Several of us who filed with CSC have had this issue with biometrics. My NOA1 was dated 4/9 and I still haven't gotten mine, and some filers that had a earlier NOA1 date than mine just received theirs. It looks like they are being slow with some of the appointment letters for some reason, but you can try calling USCIS to ask for information if you want to be safe. Seems that if you're over 30 days from your NOA1 they will do something about it even if you're not lucky enough to get to talk to a tier 2 :)

You cannot raise a service request until 30 days have passed so there is no point in you calling yet. If you get to 31 days and still haven't heard anything then give them a call, the number is on your NOA1. 1,1,1,2,2 I think is the way to get through to someone, it's the option to say you don't know what your receipt number is. Don't worry too much, as I said mine took almost 90 days, it's frustrating but it's just because your local office is busy.
