Yay Kerrin, USCIS hasn't lost your stuff after all! (But USPS may have :-) ) Can't blame USPS for my problem; looks like the landlord is stealing mail in my building...

I finally got to speak to a level-2 USCIS person on the phone today and they put in a service request for my NOA1 to be resent. The officer was actually really nice once I explained my employer is not interested in looking at a stamp in my passport and demands a formal extension letter, so fingers crossed that I'll get a copy. I was told they don't like to reissue letters, but he explained my circumstances on the service request and I'm hoping for the best. I do still have an InfoPass appointment scheduled for the stamp, in case I don't get the letter.

That's cool! I might go for the stamp next month. Keep me posted if you do get the NOA reissued. :)

I just went for my early walk-in biometrics. The receptionist denied me and said that I need to reschedule. She was so harsh that when I was turning away with my letter, she said she'll let me do it. There were no people in front of me and workers were just standing and doing nothing. This is so true when people say that walk-ins have 50/50 chance.

So I called USCIS about my biometrics letter, and the person I talked to said she could not verify whether my appointment had been sent or not, but since over 30 days had passed they would file a request to send a new appointment letter which I should receive within 15 days. Being tier 1 she said she couldn't check the actual status of my biometrics, so I asked if I could be transferred to someone who can, but she replied there was no need because in either case they will just send me a letter now :crying:

But at least I have a service request number now, and they said to call back in 15 days if I don't get another letter... I was expecting them to say to wait 60 days before calling again :lol:

Several of us who filed with CSC have had this issue with biometrics. My NOA1 was dated 4/9 and I still haven't gotten mine, and some filers that had a earlier NOA1 date than mine just received theirs. It looks like they are being slow with some of the appointment letters for some reason, but you can try calling USCIS to ask for information if you want to be safe. Seems that if you're over 30 days from your NOA1 they will do something about it even if you're not lucky enough to get to talk to a tier 2 :)

I called USCIS this morning and was told the same thing. They said they would file a request for my biometrics appointment and I should call back if I don't receive it within the next 15 days. I will be out of town the second week of June, and I'm just worried that my appointment will be scheduled during that time. Hopefully we both get the letter this time! Thanks!

Can't believe we have to wait average 6-7 months after that for 10 year GC.... :wacko:

I called USCIS this morning and was told the same thing. They said they would file a request for my biometrics appointment and I should call back if I don't receive it within the next 15 days. I will be out of town the second week of June, and I'm just worried that my appointment will be scheduled during that time. Hopefully we both get the letter this time! Thanks!

Today I got an email from CSC stating that they requested biometrics scheduling and I will be mailed an appointment letter when my local office has appointments available. Not sure how long THAT is going to take, but I really just wanted to confirm that my letter hadn't been lost, so I don't mind waiting for the appointment now :)

05-27-2010 RFE - I485 (text from USCIS) , letter on way (I know its I864 form, have it already to go as soon as letter gets here)

06-03-2010 Scheduled BIO DONE !!!!
06-04-2010 RFE was received by Homeland Security and case has now resumed
06-17-2010 Interview letter received (Interview date July 28th )
07-14-2010 EAD ordered for production
