Just FYI, you can also go earlier to Bio as long as you have the app. letter.

So many people have done it earlier than their original app. dates here on VJ.

I got my DL in Texas for 6 years but when I looked at this website

I found out that my DL should expire on the same date than my GC...

So I guess we need to be very careful with this matter!

That's a good point actually. In our case, we can't do that since his current DL expires the same day as the GC. But for those of you that have DL's that expire in several years, a copy of the letter would be a good thing to carry around. Although, that being said, he doesn't carry around his GC on a daily basis. My husband loses at least 1 wallet a year and I don't want him losing his GC!

I would think since you got the NOA1 today, if they are on the same schedule as me they won't send you an appointment notice for another week. And the appointment needs to be at least two weeks out to give you time...so I would say your TOEFL is safe and you should be going for biometrics the first week of May or so :)

Thank you for the suggestion! But from time to time some people get sent back home when trying to do early biometrics, no? I don't know if I want to risk taking a day off work for nothing so I might just wait and hope I get lucky with the appointment :)

There are many many examples. I also agree there have been many more people lately saying they tried and were denied.

Also in my comments section of my profile someone who goes to my local office told me that she was rejected for a early walk-in so I won't be risking it either (3 hour drive)

Check was cashed yesterday, hopefully NOA1 letter and Bio letters follow soon! We plan to do an early walk in Bio appt for my wife again, we did it for AOS at the Varick Street office in NYC and had didn't have any problems.

Hope CSC picks up and the rest of us get our biometrics soon! cool.gif I do hope it does not coincide with my hubby's birthday, though, which is the end of this month.

I can say I had a bad experience on AOS when I was a walk-in. In the end they let me do it but gave me the third degree. I was taken into the office of the woman running Kentwood MI. Took me about 2 1/2 hours to get through even though the office was empty but for 2 people.

hello all!

back to the forum, i can't believe already 2 years have passed!!!

My window opens next Monday (4/23) and i'm mad at myself for not being better prepared!!!! But with work and all, it's hard to juggle with everything! the only good part is that it's just a matter of making copies, not like AOS.
