Hi all.

I have a question about certified copy of marriage. My husband and I married in Phoenix, I have two marriage documentation oh hand now, I dont know which one is the right one I need to attach with my I-485 application. One shows record of marriage and the other one is certificate of marriage. I am not sure the record of marriage is same as certified copy of marriage (a stamp on the back stated the foregoing instruction is a full, true and correct copy of the original marriage record recorded by this Office, then signature)

The certificate of marriage. The one with the stamp and the registrars signature.

**Edit - you send a photocopy of that document. Not the "original" one you have.

You will hand the whole document to the one who performs your ceremony, he will sign it, you and your wife and 2 more witnesses will sigh it. Then he will tear the bottom part and send it to the court. If you need a certified copy, you can get to Maricopa courts to ask for the certified copies, which cost 26 dollars each.
