K1 petition extention

my k1 petition was approved by USICS on 22 Dec so i guess its valid till 22 April....but till nw i havent got interview scheduled....

so i was wondering if tht gets delayed then wat is the procedure to extend the validity of petition?

i sent my packet 3 via postal mail on 23 jan but when i contacted embassy last week to inquire abt my interview they told me to email the documents to them....so i email the packet 3 docu again on 9 march n nw waiting to hear from them.

We were also delayed due to administrative processing and it was automatically extended by the consulate without us doing anything.
