Do I need to provide a copy of the I-129f and supporting documents in my interview???

Bit of a panic. When my fiance filled out the I-129f and supporting documents, she signed and dated them and sent them.

I told her at the same time to fill out 2 other copies as back ups. We did this but she never signed and dated them, and not we cannot remember what dates we put on those forms.

Could this come back to haunt us later on in the process? Do I need to provide copys of all these documents at any other point in the process?

No you dont. Embassy will have everything that you sent with your packet. The reason 2 extra copies are recommended in case the package will get lost in a mail or things like that. What you will need for your interview, is evidence of ongoing relationship, police certificate and $350 to pay the visa fee.

The best method for keeping a copy for your records is not what you told her to do. There is no need to "fill out" extra copies. The forms only need to be filled out once and saved on the computer.

Best practice for all the things you will be submitting for the next 4 years:

1. Get the entire application ready to mail.
   
2. Put it page by page on a photocopier, including the check, cover letter, address on the envelope, each form, and every page of evidence.
   
3. Assemble in the exact same order as the one being mailed
   
4. Bind the photocopy with a giant bulldog clip and put in a folder marked I-129F or K1 visa or Adjustment of Status or Removing Conditions or Citizenship.
   
5. Attach the mailing receipt to the photocopy folder.
   
6. File the photocopy.
   

If you need to check her work, then have her make a spare copy for you. There is no other reason why you in the UK will need a copy of the I-129F petition unless you need it as a study guide for the interview so you can memorize her name, address, work, and how you met. Another personal reason to have it is while you're waiting and start reading mistakes people made and second guessing if she made the check out correctly, got the address right, or how she answered a specific question, or if she remembered to include a boarding pass, then you have an exact replica of her submission to verify what was sent. If the entire application was lost, you have a model for assembling a new one. You know it wasn't lost because she got NOA1.

An example of why it's good to keep a record. We just got the appointment letter for husband's citizenship interview. It says to bring the originals of all the evidence submitted and anything else pertinent. No clue what we sent from memory. But there's a folder in the filing cabinet with an exact replica of the submission.

Well lucky for you, everything else (application packages) submitted will be by you, the immigrant.

For useverything that required a physical signature got duplicated and signed but everything else is in Dropbox. When I wanted a copy all I needed to was print the bits I needed. We scanned signed pages and checks so I can pretty much make an exact duplicate of the i-129F as many times as I want.

Since its Dropbox we can both add to it and edit it too.
