Passport

Big DO NOT OPEN packet

Purse / bags / whatever else is going with her.

To avoid being denied entry - not have a criminal back ground.

Its highly unlikely they will deny entry.

Extra copy of medical information from Canada for new doctor in the USA

Extra copy of birth certificate for AOS application.

Any school papers she has in case of going to school in the USA.

Other than the K-1 approval packet what else she we have as we go through security? Also, any advice to avoid her entry being denied would be grateful.

She is expected to be moving to the U.S. so she needs her luggage or be able to explain the lack of (ex. having it shipped). If she has a copy of the K1 application and everything your brought to the interview, bring it to the U.S. and keep it until AOS is over. Any financial or notarized/legal documents she should have in her possession.

You won't be able to go with her in secondary (if your POE is in an airport), tell her to make sure she gets a I-94 stapled in her passport (it's a little 2x3 document with her name and record of entry on it). She'll need it for AOS.

Unless she has a criminal background, insults/lies to CBP officers on duty or carry anything illegal in her luggage, it is very unlikely she would be denied.

Congratulations on your approval

Just be as relaxed and calm as possible and answer any questions truthfully. When I POEd they gave me a mini quiz of maybe 5 questions but it barely phased me because they just asked who I was marrying, where in the US I was going, etc., very very basic info. Other than that as long as she has her passport and unopened brown folder she shouldn't be denied.

Edit: also seconding that she makes sure she gets an I-94- it's some white card stock that gets stapled next to her visa. It is VERY VERY important that she gets this. Of course, it's unlikely that they'd forget to attach it to her passport but it's happened before.

I would recommend filling out the I-94 before you get to the customs desk - they usually have them by regular customs cards.

Bring a pen to fill out both customs forms!

I would also recommend a cart to carry all your luggage if you have more than a couple of bags since you'll have to carry it yourself through secondary and then to the drop off location, so it's a bit of a pain and having everything on a cart will make things a lot easier.

Removing Conditions

Sent package to VSC - 8/12/11

NOA1 - 8/16/11

Biometrics - 9/14/11
