Hey guys,

Can any one explain me what's the difference bet'n CR1 & IR1?

Thanks,

HHP

The CR1 is received when your visa is approved and you are married for less than 2 year. Once approved you will have a 2 year Green card.

The IR1 is received when your visa is approved and you are married for more than 2 years, this would be an automatic process, nothing additional you would have to do. at this point a 10 year green card is automatically assigned

[/quote if you have been married less than 2 years when your spouse enters the US on an immigrant visa, the permanent resident status is considered "conditional' . You and your spouse must apply to remove the condition 90 days before your spouses two year anniversary. I believe that you will get this info at the time when you receive the visa.

Your status can not be an IR-1 rather it must be a CR-1, since you got married in 2006. Someone must have made a typing error.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
