Evidence of ongoing relationship

I'm a US citizen and married my spouse in the Philippines. We had a baby born in wedlock and I've gotten a CRBA and US Passport for our baby daughter. Do I really need copies of letters and emails to prove our relationship? Isn't our daughter proof enough? Our primary means of communication has been telephone, so we don't have many letters or emails.

Yes, you still need evidence of a bonafide relationship because, even though it sounds crude, a baby is proof you were together one night, not that you have a genuine relationship. Show your phone bills, some letters/ emails... maybe you send gifts by post and can prove that somehow? Boarding passes from when you visited, photos together?

We have lots of photos. Also, I send her money via Western Union every month and she has the receipts.

Warning: Proof of Western Union Reciepts is not proof of on-going relationship.

Supply recent pictures of the baby, whatever e-mails you have. (Letters have a date stamped on them)

If you can write this post then you have internet access to create a Yahoo account and print chats.

And another form of proof is, a copy of joint file tax and she's included as a beneficiary in your company health insurance...and yes those receipts will be a big help, too.

I don't think this applies. She is not in the States as of yet from what I read. Western Union Receipts are good with accompanying PROOF of a on-going relationship.

For others who are reading: Western Union receipts may be helpful for the Manila embassy, but they can just as easily be detrimental elsewhere. Read the reviews and stories about YOUR consulate before deciding how to proceed in regard to these receipts.
