You mean Good Luck to those who have to pay it :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: my poor hubby will be officially broke by the time this is all done with :crying: and on top of the $350 he has to pay $286 for my step son

I just have a feeling that they are going to try to make my fiance do it there and she is going to let them so it will cost me the entire $350. So that means GOOD LUCK to ALL of us... I also know your pain because all of this is draining me. I have to pay for the medical, Banco Popular visa fees, Interview fee at the embassy, and buy tickets (a round trip for me and two one ways for her and my son). Trust me when I say that my money tree is going dry and this is only HALF of my process.

Beneficiary: Plan Your Medical Exam Date

The medical exam always comes before the interview. The U.S. Embassy appoints certain accredited clinics or physicians where you may take the medical exam. Although the series of tests included in the medical exam may vary in every Consulate, there are still common denominators for them all.

Immunization

Vaccinations are also given to K1 Visa applicants. The panel physician in your clinic determines which shots you have to take. This varies with your age and vaccination history.

Right from the USCIS website

United States immigration law requires immigrant visa applicants to obtain certain vaccinations (listed below) prior to the issuance of an immigrant visa. Panel physicians who conduct medical examinations of immigrant visa applicants are required to verify that immigrant visa applicants have met the vaccination requirements, or that it is medically inappropriate for the visa applicant to receive one or more of the listed vaccinations:

Hepatitis A

Hepatitis B

Influenza

Influenza type b (Hib)

Measles

Meningococcal

Mumps

Pneumococcal

Pertussis

Polio

Rotavirus

Rubella

Tetanus and diphtheria toxoids

Varicella

Thanks.

I dont know how all of you feel about this, but I rather just let the USCIS administer everything so there is NO chance of them questioning validity of documetation. I mean, they have rejected US birth certificates citing they were fake so can you just imagine vaccines administered in a DR clinic?? I rather avoid any possible issues.....

Good Luck!

Hey! I was just on their website to find out the costs as well that way my boyfriend can start budgeting on the vaccines costs. And this is what I found;

If he's going to get the vaccines during flu season (August 21st through April 30th) these are the costs:

Ages 19-64

medical exam = $180.00 USD / $6,994.00 pesos

vaccine = $170.00 USD / $6,605.00 pesos

total = $350 USD / $13,599.00 pesos

Not during flu season (May 1st through August 20th)

medical exam = $180.00 USD / $6,994.00 pesos

vaccine = $110.00 USD / $4,274.00 pesos

total = $290.00 USD / $11,267.00 pesos

I rounded it to the nearest cent. It also says that the doctor makes the final decision in what vaccines the beneficiary needs, if they don't need any at all then they will reimburse the patient the vaccine cost.

any more information you need this is their website :

http://www.consultoriosdevisa.com/vacunacion.htm

hope it helps :D !!
