So close that you finally Americanized those dates in your signature. Well done. :star:

Less than 2 weeks until *D-day. Got your AOS paperwork filled out yet? I have a list for that.

*departure

On the subject of interviews. My husband's only interview was the K1 London in July 2008. May you all be so lucky that you don't interview again for a long time. He got an appointment letter Monday. (Yep, still waiting on USCIS years later.) He interviews for American citizenship on April 26.

haha yeah i am finally allowing myself to be Americanized lol.

i thought that i would wait until i get there to start on AOS... it will give me something to do until im married. your NOA2 to interview list was like my bible for a little while so an AOS list would be much much appreciated :)

i hope i never have to interview again... it appears that i become a lot more nervous than i thought possible lol. wow Nich-Nick you are almost at the end of your immigration journey... that must be a good feeling lol. i hope your husband hasnt lost his Britishness?? lol

Is your list for AOS the same one as the guide on this site? I'm going to be leaving for the States in May, do you think we should start getting stuff prepared now?

You probably have lots to do sorting out the move. I'm the USC and my fiance waited 2 months after getting the visa before POE, so I knocked most of it out during that time. There's things you need like the marriage certificate later but most of the forms can be filled out. And I got the I-864 support stuff done. Glad I did it while I was still in "forms mode" because once he got here there was not all that lonely downtime which is good for paperwork. We filed around his 9th day in the country. And the sooner you marry and file, the sooner you work and get a driver's license.

My list is just a summary that gives an overview of the forms/documents that get mailed in. I found the VJ guides a bit lacking or confusing. It might make a good general checklist, but you'll still need to read the form directions and use the VJ sample forms for help. This is the list. It's not supposed to require a login. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FIsgnb7Tfj7tcRNnqRMKUOXQdEfR6HTUDY2vX6zKqqU/edit?hl=en&authkey=CNXN_oQH
