It looks like your petition was at the consulate in January 2012? Are you asking about the expiration date on it?

If so the consulate automatically extends the expiration date so the petition does not expire.

actually my k1 petition was approved by USICS on 22 Dec so i guess its valid till 22 April....but till nw i havent got interview scheduled....

so i was wondering if tht gets delayed then wat is the procedure to extend the validity of petition?

i sent my packet 3 via postal mail on 23 jan but when i contacted embassy last week to inquire abt my interview they told me to email the documents to them....so i email the packet 3 docu again last monday n nw waiting to hear from them.

Most consulates if not all will automatically renew the petition. Mine ran out Dec 22/11. I emailed the consulate here in Canada because like you I hadn't gotten an interview date at that point. They emailed back within a couple days saying they automatically renew petitions with no action on your part. You should be fine but you could find out how to contact your consulate and ask them directly just to make sure.
