Payment fee, all in one check?

Hello everyone, here again, I know i read somewhere something about the way to make the payment, but honestly i cant find it again.

For the AOS fee i have to pay a total of $1070. So my main question is, should i just add a personal check for that ammount of money, or 2 different ones, one for the $985 and another one for $85?

Also, we have joint account with my husband, but we didnt receive our new checks with both names in it yet, so for now we only have his personal checks showing his name, is ok if he sign the checks for the paiment instead me?

You have to include a check or a money order for the whole amount of $1070.

As long as your are both on the account either one of you can sign the check, and it will be fine.

ok sorry for that, i finally found it. U can make one check for both is not needed for 2 separate checks, it is in the form i-485 instructions page. thx everyone and sorry for the post.

As long as your are both on the account either one of you can sign the check, and it will be fine.

It's important to note that there are accounts that says X or Y and some that states the account is for X and Y. There is a big difference between the two. The first means either party may sign the check while the latter means both parties MUST sign the check. There's no option in the latter.
