It seems that the CSC approvals are always coming either overnight or early morning. We don't see very many (at least posted about) during the daytime.

Maybe CSC is rock and rolling all night and partying all day?

What is typical of large organizations who use computers is that certain jobs are held until late night hours or early morning hours for processing. If the organization runs those same jobs during peak daytime hours, it will slow down the computers on the network causing great frustration among the users. And also reducing the amount of work a case officer can do. So they process those batch jobs at 1 or 2 in the morning when there are less users on the system. It's all about maximizing the resources you have. Both for people and CPU times.

So then why has this only been occuring in the past few weeks?

About a month ago, you could expect to see approvals at any time of the day.

I can't really say why there have been changes recently. I know that IT departments are always looking for ways to improve performance and productivity of there computer systems. Perhaps they have installed new disk arrays or computers or software. Maybe one of there major systems is down because of a failure. There are millions of reasons why there may be a change. Could be the users were complaining because of slow systems or the fact that several service centers have transferred cases to California thus increasing the amount of data to go through.

The late night batch job just seemed to be the most logical explanation to me. :D

Yea, I noticed that same thing. We got our approval email on a Sunday night. Most likly is has to do with the batch theory. I am sure they are doing this so as not to overload the server and slow the system down during working hours. This is what my company does anyway.
