Hello.

This is my first post here, for this reason I would like to say how much this site has helped me understand this journey.. so THANK U!!!

I have my first question/concern that I have not read about on any other posts.. please help me.

We are extremely happy for getting this far into our journey. We are now at the stage where I (beneficiary) am planning on traveling to the US embassy in Vancouver for a interview and medical exam.

I have just recieved an email, stating that my case "may entail more work" :(

I was in the US on a student visa when i met my now fiance. i have since moved back to canada and worked for the past 1.5 years.

While i was in the US, i was pulled over and arrested for DWI, the charges were reduced to a careless driving charge.

I am worried about what happens now, anyone know, or has experienced something like this?

I disclosed all information in all forms prior. And to my understanding i am not considered inadmissable due to a careless driving charge.

I cross the US/Canadian border at least 1x a month, and I disclose this information when i cross as well...

anyone have a DWI and still get approved?

I just want to marry the man of my dreams.. please help

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

It may not even relate to the DWI but they may just want to make sure that while you were in the US on a student visa you didn't violate the terms of the visa, and that the information you presented about it on the forum is indeed complete and accurate. I suspect it will just be a relatively short delay and you should be able to book your interview soon.
