Hey everyone,

I'm kind of in a hole right now due to mistakes made by my parents meh... Really need some help here. Basically what is happening is that I need to correct my name on my driver's license and SS card for school loan purposes, even tho the issue NEVER came up. The bad part I went to the MVA and they told me in order to correct driver's license, I absolutely need my Certificate of Naturalization, they won't even consider my US passport or foreign birth certificates... Idk what to say, maybe i'll try a different MVA another time and catch someone offguard

Im not sure as to which N form (600 vs 565) I should be filing, my Dad was naturalized... Do I need to file a N-600? Im kinda confused as I already have citizenship via US passport, Im not sure what is the fastest way of doing this... Also if I do fill out the N600, I donno what my A number is anymore do I just leave it blank? And finally... does anyone know how long this process may take? Because I do need this to be sorted out before the end of summer. I have a feeling this is not going to end well for my loan money... I'll probably sort out the SS card issue first and try some other MVA

First you broke rule number one, leaving a government office with typos or whatever on it, yet another cause is using hand filled forms and not printing clearly.

Your US passport should be a perfect form of identification, not only for US citizenship, but has your photo, place of birth, and your birth date on it. But you do run into hardheaded government employees from time to time, best thing to do in these cases is to politely ask to speak to their supervisor.
