Officially past 5 months, waiting for NOA2

We were really hoping to have our NOA2 by now. I guess CSC is really backed up. :(

My lawyer, and the immigration lawyer at my work (I work for a law firm) are saying to wait until it has been 6 months before trying to contact them, or having my congressman file an inquiry. (we tried to have the congressman file and expidite at the beginning of the I-130 process, we were denied. Both lawyers are saying that sending another could be overkill, any thoughts, opinions, or advice? Thanks and I hope we all get our NOA2's very soon.

California is only at August I believe and you filed in October. You need to take a look at what they have for I130. You just have to wait it out. It does not state 5 months for your petition

I was talking about the processing time goal. Which is 5 months.

I am at almost 7 months and its not a good feeling.

Green Card issued 9/28/2014 after filing I-601 Wavier

Removal of Conditions
6/6/2014 - Meeting with Lawyer to start process
7/15/2014 - ROC mailed
7/24/2014 - Received at USCIS
8/11/2014 - Biometric appointment notice received
8/18/2014 - Biometric appointment

10/24/2014 - ROC Approved!

Oh no! I'm so sorry! Have you tried calling them to ask for an update? If you haven't, you should.

I have called about once a week. In Feb when the proccessing time was still 5 months the put in a service request and they answer was simply they are working on proccess as fast as they can. Finally when i called today I talked to someone who put another service request in. So hopefully this time i will get a good answer.

Waiting is not something i am very good at so this is torcher for me.

mine was approved 16 match after 6 months and 10 days

I-130 Sent : 2011-08-29

I-130 NOA1 : 2011-09-06

Expedite Request sent:2012-03-09

I-130 NOA2: 2012-03-16

I filed last July, got approval in January. Took about 6.5 months. When I called them after 5 months had passed they didn't even put in a service request for me and told me to just wait because "we are backed up"

So yeah...California backed up a lot. I'm afraid you have no choice but to wait it out.

Mine was also just approved and it took 6 months and 8 days. Seems that's about as fast as it's happening these days. Hang in there. CSC should be around Sept. 10th after today, but of course some are behind a bit, some are ahead a bit.

Sept 9, 2011: NOA1

March 16, 2012: NOA2

April 10, 2012: NVC Case Number Assigned, AOS Invoice Received

April 11, 2012: OPTIN for EP with DS-3032 sent, AOS bill paid

April 12, 2012: AOS Package Sent

April 17, 2012: IV Bill invoiced, paid

April 19, 2012: IV package sent

April 20, 2012: Checklist for AOS asking for letter of employment, response sent

April 23, 2012: Letter approving DS-230, False checklist for AOS checklist

May 1, 2012: Appointment Letter Received (for May 23rd)

May 22, 2012: Interview canceled pending further medical tests

July 15, 2012: New Appointment letter Received

August 1, 2012: Interview, Approved

so plan on going nuts after the 19th of April, 2012.
