If you are just applying for the I-485 then you will need to send a check for $395.00 which includes payment for the $325.00 for the I-485 and $70.00 for the biometrics ...

If you apply for the EAD as well then you would have to write an additional check for $180.00 ... I am not sure what the cost for the AP is as I didn't do that ...

Actually, you only need to pay biometrics once.

When I sent mine in, I paid $395 for the AOS and $180 for my EAD and nothing else. When I received my notice for my biometrics appointment, it had both my EAD and my AOS on the notice as the Application #s that the biometrics was needed for. Don't send more than necessary because I am pretty sure they won't refund you for it.

I don't think I said in message that you have to pay twice from the biometrics ... I was just breaking down what the $395.00 consisted of ....
