Hi forum.

I got a kind of odd situation. I've been out of status for a few year now and i unknowingly stated myself on I-9 from as USC few years ago on 1 job,(i didn't know the consequences of it) i needed a job desperately back then. And just recently i have discovered that it is deadly to further immigration future, i started freaking out. I am married to USC a few months now, and was thinking on getting AOS but came across this thread about false statement in I-9 and the ground just fell under my feet. Also just recently i had to get a lot of dental stuff done and i had to apply for Community Health Care here in town and had to state myself as a USC to get the care card. I had no money to get insurance and it was urgent that i'd get this dental stuff done ASAP. And everything seemed hopeless until i found this article that said that employers only have to keep I-9 records until after 3 years to the date of hire or 1 year after the employment is terminated. So i saw a light at the end of a tunnel. Figuratively speaking if i lets say "wait" some time until I-9 are gone and apply for AOS, will i have any problems?

ps. Im not working at that place anymore, its been a couple years now.

pss. If ICE didn't get their hand on those I-9 yet, hopefully they wont?..

Thank you all , i really appreciate your help.

what the op is asking members to do is violate the vj tos:

Condone or instruct, either directly or indirectly, others on how to commit fraudulent or illegal immigration activities in any way, shape, manner or method.

as the op has misrepresented himself on several occasions, the only recourse we can offer is to consult an attorney.
