hi all can i bring a 1year stock of my birth control pills to us? should i put them to my check in luggage or just hand carry??? i'll be flying in monday so i need your suggestion guys!!

Put them in your checked luggage and make sure they are in the original containers showing your name and date of birth. Just in case they do search your luggage.

yes its just an over the counter meds...i bought them in a drug/pharmacy store... thank you for the suggestions :)

In the US birth control pill is not over the counter, so if they check your bag, they will ask for a prescription. That's what the CBP website says anyway: presciption for all medication you take with you, personal use only, and no over the counter medication.

Naturalization

02/01/24: N-400 submitted online; Biometrics reuse notice received immediately online; "case being actively reviewed" after a couple hours

04/08/24: interview scheduled for 05/14. Received "We have taken an action in your case" email.

I have brought several things back with me. Some were in my carry on and some in my packed luggage. The first time I did this, I dumped the boxes and shoved all into one single box because of space. The 2nd time, items were in small enough boxes that it was no biggie.

I had no problems personally. Some of the items I brought back were items that I had a written prescription for from my doc and I am in the best demographic ever for profiling so that may help me to get away with things that other people might get tripped up over.

This is so common to do that I don't think it is commonly an issue unless you are bringing enough to sell.

I tried to look up an official site with info but I couldn't find one with all the other sites that are coming up, no matter what combination of words I have typed in.

Here is the best I could find for the official story. It is about halfway down the page and just a few lines.

Medcial tourism is so common now that I expect this is enforced as often as not using your turning signal to change lanes.

I brought 1 years worth of birth control when I came no problems. They were in my checked baggage and had my name on the boxes.

I brought mine too along with a prescription, even though in mexico we dont need prescription to get them, I know here we do so I did not want to risk it. I have no idea if they checked my luggage or not but I had no problem whatsoever.
