They charged you that much for ONE shot? What the heck? What was it for? Jeez... Definitely 'one plus for Canada' but the US is still a great place ;)

We're going to print out our own form. It's all the same anyway so it shouldn't matter. I'm still trying to figure out whether or not to put 'None' lol It's probably not such a big deal but it'd suck getting a REF for such small thing.

I think that one was The varicella shot...the cs said the state of NV wouldn't let them keep it at their office so I had to go to this government building and pay them for it. Crazy. The worst part was knowing I had all these shots already but I didn't know where my records were. Come to find out after the fact my mother says she thinks she has them all up in Canada.

Personally I would go with what the instructions for that specific form says...each of the forms are different. For example I think it's that one that requires all caps....and some ask for the date as 02/02/02 and some ask for it as 02/02/0004. I think it is the I-485 that says you can't leave anything at all blank...

I tried to follow them individually as close as possible...but I wouldn't sweat it too much. They know from all the other forms that there is no alien number - they will be assigning one once they get the packet sorted out.

lol my wife misses it too :P this whole process is a pricey one that's for sure but well worth every penny. let's just hope all goes well for her and for you :) what else do you need to get done?

At this point, all I need to do is get passport-style photos done, I am waiting for my husbands 1040EZ (he is getting his taxes done today) and my friend and in-laws are getting their affadaivts notarized. The notary isn't necessary I guess, but I figured it couldn't hurt.

Even my checks are written at this point-I'm so nervous! I think at this point I am aiming for April 1st. I want some time to double and triple check.

How about you? What else do you need to get done?

jdh: It really sucks you didn't have any of your records to bring with you. My wife had to ask her mom to send hers from Canada. It's a good thing she was able to find them. We're going back to the medical office this coming Thursday. Hopefully she won't need an x-ray because that would cost us $100. Ouch. She might need to get her Tetanus shot though ... More moolah to give away :P

The lady at the desk told us to leave those spaces blank. She was very informative so that was cool. As long as we don't get any kind of REF I'm happy.

chimcham: You did good not to put anything in those A-Number spaces. The lady at the desk told us today to just leave them blank.

Awww don't be too nervous. I'm sure everything will go fine for you. Just follow the instructions and double-triple-etc check all your forms and documents. And of course ... Keep asking questions on here. That's what I'm doing :) It looks like you and my wife will be April filers. We should keep in touch through it all. We still have to take passport-style pictures as well and we also need affidavits from a few family members. Form I-864 (and I-864A for us) are still incomplete. They're the hardest ones in my opinion. I'll tackle them after I'm done with the easier to filled forms. What other proof of a bonafide marriage do you have besides for the affidavits?

I'm glad you mentioned the I-864A...what is the point of that form? My husband and I filled out the I-864 but as I am double checking my items I came across that one.

I include a relationship timeline (5 years) in photos with captions--pasted right into a word document, a print screen of our joint savings account, a print screen of him as my beneficiary on my 401k and life insurance. I hope it's enough!

Can you let me know about the I-864A? I was literally about to post about it. lol

The I-864A is for anyone who needs a co-sponsor. (the co-sponsor needs to live in the same house in order to fill that particular form) So let's say your husband doesn't make enough to support you then he'd need to find a co-sponsor and if that co-sponsor lives with you guys then they'd have to complete form I-864A. (if they live in another house then they'd fill out I-864 - same form as your husband)

You're good with your evidence. I've read about people sending less than that and they had no problems.

Gotcha! Thanks for that. My brain is on overload. Do I need to include my income on question 24 B? No worries if you don't know the answer-I can post as well. You're just so quick to respond

No problem! We can help each other out. I totally understand about the overwhelm-nest of it all. It's a lot of researching/reading/typing to do.

Unfortunately I'm unable to answer your question. You've been working legally here in the States right? If so ... I think you could include your income (if needed - does your husband make enough on his own?) If I were you I'd definitely ask in a different thread. Just make sure you fill them in i.e. let them know what your status is and if you're currently working and whether or not your husband makes enough to support you on his own because if he does I don't even think you need to include your income. Not sure though.
