We are at the NVC stage and have already done the DS-261 and DS-260 all fees are paid and processed on the Dept of state/Ceac website, but have yet to actually send in our documentation. We got our approval for EP a couple of months ago, and are just getting our documents scanned and stuff ready to email to the NVC.

My question is in regard to the passport photos required.

Are we supposed to scan and email a copy of my passport photo or can I just bring the original photos with me at interview time?

I know I have to send a scanned copy of my current canadian passport, and copies of all the other required documents. I just don't know since it is via EP if there is any use in sending in a 2x2 passport style photo (I would see the need if we were going by regular snail mail) but I think basically bringing the original passport photos and all the other original docs I am supposed to bring to the interview anyway should be sufficient...Is this Correct?

You have to scan the passport pictures, along with the other needed documents for the IV package.

I highly, highly, highly recommend you read my wiki (linked in my signature below). It talks about online forms and the EP process, and how to scan some things. If you have any questions AFTER reading it, then I'd be glad to answer :)

Hi Saylin! I have read your wiki and it is EXTREMELY helpful. Not to hijack the post, but going off of this last post, I am a little confused about about what forms my spouse will physically need in hand during her interview in Montreal. I understand she will need her passport, her birth certificate, police report, marriage certificate, etc. But will she also need to bring along my tax transcripts, my passport, and my naturalization paper (as a naturalized US citizen) since I will not be present with her at the interview?

Here's the complete required list if you do EP:

~passport

~interview letter

~DHL confirmation

~medical results

~2 passport pictures

~DS-230 (even though you will do the DS-260, Montreal isn't used to the online system and requires everyone do this at the interview)

~original/certified copy of beneficiary's passport

~original/certified copy of marriage certificate

~original PCC(s)

~original AOS package (I-864, tax info, etc)

Your passport or naturalization certificate shouldn't be needed. I didn't need my husband's information, although I did have certified copies of his birth certificate as well as a copy of his passport, just in case.
