Hello all. I am in the process of putting together the I-130 package. My wife is here with me in the US ... we will be filing I-130 and I-485 concurrently. The guides and posts on this site have been very helpful but I still have certain uncertainties. In the guide labeled 'How to File an I-130 for a Spouse Inside the US' it says that a copy of the Birth Certificate for the Intending Immigrant is required but the USCIS instructions for Form I-130 mention nothing about that. Why is that? Thank you.

Yeah ... I see that requirement in those instructions. Does that mean we only need a copy of her (my wife - the intending immigrant) Birth Certificate in the I-485 package or must I also include another copy in the I-130 package? (like it says in the Visajourney guide)

Alright. Thanks Harpa. I guess we'll just include it in the I-485 package. I don't see why it'd really be needed in both packages since they are being filed concurrently. I just needed to make sure :)
